MANIC MONDAY Ok, just a quick update about my weekend. Thursday was nice being able to see jennifer and go to pets mart and target. I love target, me and dawn both agree it makes us happy to go in there. Although i didn't buy anything, it was nice to be able to get out and vent about my week. Friday was busy and interesting. I put in a full day at school, then went to north star to kill some time. I love the clothes at express, i cant wait to get some for when i go back to LA. I bought some shot glasses for kristy that say "Because he's a Jerk" "Because he's Married" , and " Because he's Gay". I think she will get a kick out of them. That night i saw my voice teachers production of " Angel in Blood". Its based on the Nat Turner Rebellion, a little lengthy, but i enjoyed it. The Actors did a good job. I went ahead and brought Levi, what turned out to be a dead yellow rose, ( it wilted in the heat of my car at the mall). I hope he didn't think it had a double meaning, nah he liked it. Im not working with him in Hamlet since he will soon be going to SWT or TSU. Watch out Rolie. hehe. So after the play i went home and ate leftovers from lunch and was watching tv with my mom before i went to bed. The never ending tilework is still commencing as we speak. The guy butch hired " a friend of his", is kinda slacking off and doesn't really put in a good days work and is raising his price and above all since he is taking his time thats more time for us to be confined and not be able to enjoy being at home too long. That night he was making a big deal that me and my mother had to be out early so he could work on the hallway. So saturday came to be. Me and my mom were out the door at 9am on a saturday!!!! So we made the best out of the situation and ate at this little molino, and ate barbacoa and good chorizo. For those who eat alot of chorizo the kind they sell at the stores isn't as good as it used to be, so anywhere with good chorizo i love. Afterwords i went with my mom to her office and helped her get some work out. Being at he nice office got me spoiled by her fax machine, and soda fountain, not like the one at calliope where i have to hand feed it a page at a time. :). Nah, but we got alot of work out and killed a good 5 hours. We got a call from butch saying the tile guy got to sleep in and got there at 1pm. Nice to hear someone got to!! Oh well, So from there i went off to st philips. That night Cathy Hornsby attended, the woman who wants me to be in her production of " The owl and the pussycat", and just loves me. So i met and mingled for a bit with her. After the play finished we had to strike the set. In a weird way it was fun just taking down the set and keeping busy. We didn't go out since we got out at 1:30am. I got TC's and went to bed. Sunday i went to a workshop given by steve pena, if you want to look him up he is on the calliope website under workshops. www.calliopetalent.com . So, it started at 10 right when i got there and it was a intense film and scene study workshop. He is an awsome guy, i worked with him in LA. I did this great scene from a Woody Allen movie and the neroutic tension went over very well. Basically in the scene i met this girl, whom we had a horrible blind date with in the past, and she is a struggling writer and wants me to help her and i just want another date. Being dateless i could relate. So we got lots o complements, but of course all scenes could have gone better and i had a good partner so that helped. Oh the second scene was intense, i had a scene with a little girl and in the scene i have to work up to killing the girl by smothering her with a plastic bag, yea i felt a bit sick in the stomach doing it, but it was just acting. So after it was all said and done the workshop went over well. Steve wanted me to do his advance workshop tomorrow as in tonight, but i have Hamlet rehearsal, so instead im doing a private session with him at 1pm, after math. Over the weekend i thought of a nice gift to give the two agents i want to sign with me in LA. I thought about giving them two martini glasses with the shaker thingy ( whats the name of it?) , and a shot glass with my picture on it. And attach the slogan, SHAKE THINGS UP, WITH MICHAEL DRUCK!!!!!!! FYI, the gifts arnt to buy them off, but to thank them for seeing you, i sent them thank you cards last time. But, this time since i really really want representation i want to pull all the stops. Well today my mom is supposed to hear from the doctor, while i was at the workshop she sat down with marc elyse and her parents to let them know everything i am aware of. Insurence stuff, longterm stuff ect ect. Elyses family offered for me and her to stay with them while my mom recovers from having the removal of the tumor and or breat. Now im kinda shaky but yea i still am the stronger one. I saw marc for a while when i came home yesterday. My mom said he doesn't want me to move to LA if the worse happens cause he will be all alone, i knew he would be the more emotional one....So thanks for those prayers and please continue to pray as will I. My Brother and elyse take the LSAT this weekend so im wishing them luck. As for me this week should be more intense as we get nearer to showtime.
